ORDINANCE NO. 435
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE 94-396 REGARDING MANUFACTURED AND MOBILE HOME PROVISIONS
BE IT HEREBY ORDAINED by the City Council of the
City of Clear Lake that Chapter 2-12 of Ordinance 94-396 be amended as follows:
(1) For the purpose of this
Title, manufactured homes and mobile homes will be
regulated by type.
Two types of homes are defined under these regulations.
(a) Type I manufactured home shall:
(1) Have more than 1,200 square
feet of occupied space in a
double-section or larger multi-section unit.
(2) Have been constructed within
the last 10 years of the date the
moving
permit was applied for.
(3) Be placed on a permanent
foundation.
(4) Utilize a permanent perimeter
enclosure in accordance with
approved
installation standards, as specified in subsection (2).
(5) Be anchored to the ground,
in accordance with manufacturer’s
specifications, or as
prescribed by the ANSI/NFPA 501A
Standards.
(6) Have a gabled roof with a
pitch of at least 2/12 feet.
(7) Have siding material of a
type customarily used on site-
constructed
residences.
(8) Have roofing material of a
type customarily used on site-
constructed
residences.
(b) Type II manufactured home shall:
(1) Have more than 400 square
feet of occupied space in a single,
double, expando or multi-section
unit.
(2) Utilize a permanent
perimeter enclosure in accordance with approved installation standards, as
specified in subsection (2).
(3) Be anchored to the ground,
in accordance with manufacturer’s specifications or as prescribed by the
ANSI/NFPA 501A Standards.
(4) Have been constructed within
the last ten years of the date the moving permit was applied for.
(5) Be placed on a support
system, in accordance with approved installation standards, as specified in
subsection (2).
